Back to Basics
Here at Petersgate Infant School, our team promotes the back to basics approach in order to support your child's mental health and wellbeing.
Through assemblies, via our newsletters and through the activities we introduce and promote with all children in school, we aim to support you to consider simple changes and adaptations to your family routine.
Simple changes to routine and lifestyle can result in improvements in their child's overall wellbeing.

Looking after your family's well-being is very important. Families all need some help from time to time due to life changes or events.
As a parent or carer, you can take small steps to help your child's wellbeing as well as your own. You can do this by starting with the basics.
Using the back to basics approach can empower you to take control of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.
Consider one area at a time. Think about your home environment and what small changes you can make together as a family.
Remember to celebrate your successes and not give up. Change can be challenging and can take time, but it will be worth it in the end.
If you would like a little more support, please just let us know. Speak to Mrs Robb, our Family Support Liaison Officer or any member of the senior management team.
