Year 2 kick start Science week at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

On Monday and Tuesday this week Year 2 spent the day at QECP to start their topic on habitats and minibeasts. Everyone had a great day and came away buzzing with facts! We were able to hunt for minibeasts in different areas and discovered tadpoles in the pond there! Half of our day was led by an education leader from the park; we had great fun learning while playing some fun games! We buried nuts like squirrels, hunted for worms like badgers, crept along like centipedes, created a food chain and built homes for hedgehogs. We will continue to learn about habitats, minibeasts and food chains in the next few weeks in science!
